So what's HandyTalk Baby Signing all about From around 6 months old, babies are taking more notice of their surroundings and are capable of understanding and communicating. However, their ability to speak doesn't develop until they are 12 to 18 months. Your baby will have some motor control so that is how they can talk to you, by signing. So the earlier you start, the earlier you can 'talk' to your baby. HandyTalk teaches you the signs you need to be able to communicate in a fun environment of singing nursery rhymes and telling stories. |

Imagine a scene, your baby is crying. You have fed her and changed her nappy, but she is still crying. How many mothers have said "I wish she could tell me what's wrong". With HandyTalk Baby Signing your baby could tell you that she wanted a drink.
We will show you basic signs based on BSL (British Sign Language) to communicate with your baby.

ALL THE FAMILY
Classes are enjoyable for children and adults alike. They are one hour long. First we learn some basic signs and recap on signs we know, followed by nursery rhymes and songs, stories whilst learning new signs. This is followed by a social time for you and your child. Children can play and you can chat and have a free tea or coffee. All the family can join in, mums, dads, grandparents, guardians and other siblings. The cost for a class is for a family not per person. |
