It
was quite a chilly day, but with clear skies and no rain it was a perfect
day for a Running Day. As usual, it was a very popular event with
some buses running to full capacity.
A
static display could be found on the car park near Amersham Station with
some interesting displays such as the new Arriva orange Optare about to
take over the new 39 route in High Wycombe. Catering was provided by
Big Al who makes a mean burger and a great cup of tea.
Frequent
departures on a variety of routes to places such as Prestwood, Great
Missenden, Aylesbury, West Wycombe, High Wycombe, Gerrards Cross, Slough,
Penn, Windsor and Staines and some 50 running vehicles made the day varied
and interesting. |
