I'm taking part in the Adidas Women's 5k Challenge 2010 on 5th September to raise money for The National Deaf Children's Society and I'd really appreciate your support.

It's easy to donate online with a credit or debit card - just go to my JustGiving page:

http://www.justgiving.com/loonylou

You probably know I am not the fittest, trimmest or thinnest person in the world, but I aim to be closer to all of those by the time I get to do this run.  However, everyone who knows me can tell you that I have a great sense of humour and will do almost anything for a laugh.  So here is your opportunity to laugh at me as I run 5k in Hyde Park on 5th September.  If you don't want to laugh, just give me the bleeping money!

In order for me to realistically achieve this challenge - I want to run, not walk, the 5k - I need to lose at least 3 stone (42 lbs) in weight and get fit enough to run for 30 minutes without stopping.  I would also like to raise as much money as I can.

To see my progress please join my Facebook page LoonyLous 5k Womens Challenge for NDCS.  I will be posting photos and video of my progress and an update on my sponsorship and target.  I will also be updating this Weight Loss ticker with my weight loss on a weekly basis.

NDCS is a fantastic charity, giving Deaf, deafened and hard of hearing children some positivity in their lives.  Their vision is to empower, innovate and challenge and it is a vision which I wholeheartedly support.  Even at the grand old age of 43 I can tell you that NDCS has empowered and challenged me recently and I can only thank them for that, so I would like to do my bit to help them.

JustGiving sends your donation straight to The National Deaf Children's Society and automatically reclaims Gift Aid if you're a UK taxpayer, so your donation is worth even more. I hope you'll join me in supporting The National Deaf Children's Society.

Thank you

Louise
